Corbett & Co., a specialist in international construction law, needed to create a brand identity that ignited interest from prospects and supported the firm’s growth ambitions.

MARKETING & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REQUIREMENT

Corbett & Co. were leaders in their field, advising on high-value construction and engineering projects across the globe, but their existing website didn’t convey their expertise or capability. As part of a rebrand, the Directors wanted to develop a website that clearly showcased their specialist legal and sector expertise.

With a target market spread globally, digital marketing was key, and they wished to extend their online presence using e-marketing tools and social media to illustrate their thought leadership.

Given the firm’s global reach, and its future ambitions, it was imperative that the look and feel of the company’s marketing resonated across all countries and positioned the Corbett & Co. as top-tier in all jurisdictions.

HOW ORION LEGAL MARKETING HELPED

There was a wealth of valuable information on Corbett & Co.s old website but this needed to be communicated to its full potential to help build the wider brand. The Orion Legal Marketing Team wrote the content for the new Corbett & Co. website and assisted with the design and build, including indexing of the site’s searchable Knowledge Hub. On an ongoing basis, the Orion Legal Marketing team keep the website up to date, creating blog postings, updating the Knowledge Hub and amending website profiles.

The Orion Legal Marketing team also designed a visually engaging e-marketing template and created and published Corbett & Co.s regular e-newsletter through Mailchimp to help showcase the team’s thought leadership. Using an e-marketing platform the team could monitor engagement, identify which articles were most popular and tailor future content when establishing authority with existing and prospective clients.

Orion Legal Marketing also regularly posted consistent brand messaging on LinkedIn on behalf of Corbett & Co. and its sister company Cornerstone Seminars, publicising articles, achievements and events.

As well as online support, the Orion Legal Marketing team also helped compile and draft the the legal directory submissions for Corbett & Co. in The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners.

THE RESULT

The Corbett & Co.s website saw increased traffic and the company’s e-newsletter achieved an open rate of over 40% and a click-through rate of 17%, a performance way above the average for the legal sector (33% and 6.8% according to industry benchmarks).

Regular posting on LinkedIn helped the Corbett & Co. team raise their profile with their network of contacts, highlighted their expertise and share their unique breadth of knowledge. All communications were designed to credibility resonate with a global audience.

Corbett & Co also achieved Tier 2 in The Legal 500 and Band 1 in the Chambers & Partners legal directories.

Orion Legal Marketing worked with Corbett & Co. until their acquisition by law firm Howard Kennedy in 2023. We assisted Corbett & Co. and the Howard Kennedy Marketing team on the publicity for the transaction including press releases, e-marketing and social media postings.
