Amnesty Solicitors, a London immigration firm, discovers that working with marketing specialists who understood the law can make a big difference when creating an effective website.

MARKETING & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REQUIREMENT

I was advised very early on as a new law firm owner by someone who professed to know all about law firm ownership and marketing. They said not to invest in my website and not to go to professional web designers/ legal marketers, as websites are just an online landing page, and “that’s not where you’ll get your clients from”. As a result, I spent the first 4/5 years with a basic website that got no traffic and brought no leads to my firm at all.

I then went to a ‘web specialist’ who talked the talk but the quality of what he produced was poor, it was taking ages and he just didn’t get what I did or what I needed.

Suddenly I had a lightbulb moment and went to Rachel Tombs at Orion Legal Marketing. The difference was instant. She not only understood me but also my firm, my clients and all the supporting requirements such as SRA regulations. I hadn’t appreciated how working with marketing people who understand the legal sector can make such a tangible impact.

I loved the process. First, the team talked me through my brand identity and how we might use visual elements to distinguish my website. I’d never done anything like that before and I found it really interesting.

They then took those ideas to create a website that looked and felt like it really reflected me and my firm. The Orion team assisted with the content and advised me on how to best construct pages to maximise the chances of website visitors contacting me.

The result is perfect. I’ve had such positive feedback on the website and now feel like it is a marketing tool that helps me generate work and will support my firm Amnesty Solicitors as it continues to grow.
